Image bar (Print)

This section creates a horizontal or vertical image bar with up to ten, automatically-scaled images across the entire available width of the printed item. The more images you specify, the smaller each individual image is.

General

Parameter Description
Image 1-10
Image Upload an image from your computer, or enter an image URL in the Alternative External URL field that refers to the image source.
  • Images must have a resolution of at least 150 dpi; ideally 300 dpi. Use GIF, PNG, JPG and TIFF file formats in both RGB and CMYK color spaces, but the JPG and TIFF formats achieve the best print results.
  • Images using RGB are converted to CMYK for the print template. Images using CMYK are converted to RGB for displaying on screen in the editor and the preview. Color variations may occur, so test your print mailing.
Width By default, the image is scaled to a resolution of 300 dpi. You can alter the image width in cm, provided that the associated dpi value is not below 150 dpi. If the available width is smaller than the image, the image will be cropped.

Options

Parameter Description
Layout
Width The maximum available width is used as default. This conforms to the interior spacing and is dependent on the chosen format and position:
  • Letter DIN A4. 9.75 cm next to the address field; 19.55 cm in the header and footer areas and below the address area.
  • Postcard DIN A6. 6.8 cm next to the address field, 13 cm on the back.
  • Postcard DIN lang. 12 cm next to the address field, 19.55 cm on the back.
Margin You can specify different external spacing for each page. Entering a value of 0 means that no external spacing is used. Values are in centimeters (cm). The information is structured as follows:
  • A single value, for example 1.0 sets the external spacing to the same value on sides.
  • Two values, for example 1.0 0.5 sets the external spacing to 1.0 cm at the top and bottom, and 0.5 cm on the left and right.
  • Four values, for example 2.0 1.0 0.5 1.0 sets the external spacing to 2.0 cm at the top, to 1.0 cm on the right, 0.5 cm on the bottom, and to 1.0 cm on the left.
Space Between Images Define the distance in centimeters (cm) between individual images here. This value only matters if you insert more than one image into a paragraph.
Arrangement The image strip is horizontal by default. Select the option below one another for a vertical image strip.
Alignment In the drop-down list, select the desired position for the image strip. This option has an effect only if the image strip does not fill the entire available width.

Target groups

Parameter Description
Target Groups If you want the paragraph to only be displayed to a specific recipient segment, select the desired target group.

Test target groups and target group combinations to ensure that variations of the mailing display correctly in the print format and that no content is cut off.
