This only affects users upgrading from 1.x to 2.0 databases.
Note: If you experienced this issue with 2.00, you may download the .sql scripts and update these tables manually. Click Here to download sql update scripts for Access, MSSQL, and MySQL.
Version 2.0
Ektron CMS200 version 2.0 includes the following features:
-
Workarea Folder Layout:
The folder layout in the workarea has been enhanced to increase the performance of the library folder structure. Changes have been made to the library UI. The four library options Add Files, Images, Hyperlinks, Quicklinks have been moved to the right frame toolbar once the category folder is selected.
-
New Teaser Function:
A new feature has been added that displays the content of a single level folder. That is, one can now display a number of content blocks in a single level folder. This gives the user the ability to view content blocks along with their Title, Date and Time it was created, and a brief description about that content. The teaser function also gives the user the ability to set the content order.
General Information
- Acrobat Reader Required
Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the CMS200 manuals. You can acquire and install a copy of Acrobat Reader from www.adobe.com.
- NTFS Considerations
If your file system is NTFS and you are running ASP, you will need to ensure that IIS has write permissions to the upload directories in your CMS200 site. These include uploadedfiles, uploadedimages and databases (only if you are using MS Access).
- MSSQL User Required
If you are using a MS SQL Server database, you will need to ensure that a user from IIS can access the database. By default, the account is usually SystemName\IUSR_SystemName. Depending on your configuration, you will need to either setup an account that has read and write privileges to the CMS200 database or set the user in IIS to a user that already has permissions in the database.
